Blow-Off Valve Noise

I am sure others have posted info on this topic, however I have searched the achives and not found a good explanation. Anyhow, here is what I am hearing:
My 225QC is making a sound from the blow-off valve (I believe) which is similar to the sound heard on the rallye cars I see on Speedvision. A fluttering/chirping noise. The noise is more pronounced with harder acceleration. The performance of the car does not seem to be affected. The only thing that bothers me about this is that the blow-off valve noise was one steady sound until recently. Any ideas?

aircon in my TT. I'm talking about the "blowing over a coke-bottle" noise that many of us have heard.
Of course, there is also some direct noise associated with the DV, too.

I have exactly the same isse as ALT_TT. I hear a 'chirping' sound, much of what I have read here regarding the DV failure describes a 'honking' noise.
Are we all talking the same noise, just described differently? I have taken my 'chirp' noise to mean a failing DV, is this correct?
TIA, Ian.

I get it mostly after hard acceleration and then letting off the throttle... but I know exactly what you are talking about. I think most people here would reccomend replacing the DV.

I have interpreted this as a failing DV, my car goes to the dealer for attention on Monday, hopefully replace my 'N' series with another.
On its return, I will put in my Forge DV I have at home. One OEM for servicing visits, one for 'real' use. I have not had much luck with a couple of dealers, when I booked the car in two weeks ago, the Service Consultant stated they could not replace the DV until the check engine light comes on. Thanks to help from this site, I will go armed with the TSB!
