is a completely new design incorporating two different cam lobes on the valve cams that are controlled by the new Bosch design ECU. I don't know if Toyota did the new design, but the German guy quoted in the article seemed pretty proud of it.

on the same subject, however, I might just be persuaded to get that amulet model..especially if its been modified appropriately <big grin>.
Went out tonight and really opened up the 'vette (we hafta do this together sometime, my friend) damn what a fine ride--the sound, the feeling, the acceleration--I must admit this kid is hooked...I feel a Z06 in the future is not an impossibility. 405 HP and 400 ft-lb torque--who could pass this up? Not you, you speed junkie!

You can shift it if you want, but you'll find that it's usually redundant to do so. (BTW, Mercedes MT sucks).
