Default boost leak or bad gauge?

Or both? I have a 180 TTQC stock and usually get 13psi peak. Well, it seems that today i noticed a weird rattling sound around my A-pillar and at the same time that I was only making 8psi. When i was boosting, thats when it was rattling, and i took the gauge out of its pod figuring that something was comming loose, but it seems like the gauge itself is whats rattling? Its an autometer boost/vacuum gauge and i noticed that the needle was kinda weird, seems to default a little off (toward the vacuum side) when the car is off. ONCE i got it up to 10 psi but havent been able to duplicate that. There seems to be no decrease in performance at all - and the rattling and the boost loss appeared at the same time... the vacuum part of the gauge seems to be reading as it usually does.... Any opinions? thanx a lot

Autometer Boost gauges aren't thought to be to reliable. Could be the Gauge
