Default Boosting problems...please someone help...?

Hello,

I have installed a manual boost control in my TT. The boost control I installed was as per the exact directions laid out in this article; The Audi's DIY Boost Control - Part 1 and Part 2 with the one-way check valve. or http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&A=0670

I had it working but now it doesnt. I did put it into 'limp-mode' (that really sucks) va a VAG-COM tool. After erasing the fault code I still canot get it to boost past 5-7psi in any gear even at full load. Its extremely frustrating. I need help. Anyone???

Default how high were you boosting too?

I have a 180 and if I try to boost more then 20psi or so it throws me in limp mode. I have to clear the faults in the engine section of the VAG. Mine will go into limp now and again as I am still finly tuning the beast . I would say drop it down a notch or 2 and clear any codes and run it again. 5-7psi means limp. If it is in limp there will be a code.

Default Re: how high were you boosting too?

Thank you for responding to my inquiry. I was runnning gears 1-2-3rd gears at about 15 psi and 4-5th gears at about 20psi. However, I did spike a couple times at about 22-23psi and I am afraid that is why it has gone into limp-mode. Like I said though I cleared the 'limp-mode' fault code to no avail. The boost still does not exceed 5-7psi???

Default how did you clear the code?...

you went into the actual engine control modual inside the VAG-COM software? NOT the fault code auto scan right? Cause you have to clear the codes at the source modual. I would definitly check the VAG-COM again. That spike to 22-23psi would for sure put you in limp mode...

I also get to about 15psi in 1-2, about 18psi in 3rd, 19 in 4th, 20-21 in 5th. I am still close to hitting limp mode- every once in a while, but if I let off it will usually let me boost back up there...

Where do you have your creep set at? How many turns? I am going to do the final adjusting on my peak boost level, and need to adjust the other part.
