BOSE radio question
OK, here's one I haven't seen yet (please, no flaming if it's been covered and I just didn't see it):
The BOSE stereo that is in my '01 225 TTR has the "GALA" speed sensitive volume control. To access this function, you have to hold down the FM2 button and turn on the radio. Sure enough, "GALA" appears on the display...but then nothing else happens. In order to listen to the radio, I have to turn it back off and then on again. I don't think there's any difference in volume between when I'm sitting still and when I'm moving. Am I missing a step that I just don't know about? I appreciate any help!

Nobody here has ever proven that GALA does anything in the TT.
If it really does something then it is so subtle as to be completely un-noticeable.
My A4 Avant also supposedly has the feature. And again, it is either just so subtle, or it really doesn't work.
I can think of a way using some measuring equipment that I could prove it one way or the other but it would be too much of a pain in the butt to setup so I haven't bothered with it.

If you check some of the FAQS on this site, you will find out how to play with the GALA functions.
If I remember there is a way to see how much the volume is being changed while your speed changes.

I have GALA set to 4 in my coupe. It's great not having to adjust volume as road speed changes.
When you see 'GALA' on the screen turn the volume control. Press FM2 again to get to the other functions...
