Default Bouncing low boost issue fixed - you will love this...

Oh yeah, not only is the boost back, in my zeal I overboosted to 26PSI -> soft limp mode. What was it? The Turbo was on the way out, the new one helped a bit, but still delivered low boost. Not the DV, also new. Not the new MAF. Not the new CTS. No boost leaks. ECU is fine and so is the flash.

THE N75 WAS INSTALLED COMPLETELY WRONG! Just by luck there was another TT in the shop getting a clutch job and I had a look. Hmmm, why is the N75 oriented differently. Let us have a look in the manual, yep, not one tube is in the right spot.

The correct orientation is:
-Flat side towards the intake pipe.
-Wastegate line on the curved edge.
-Boost line across from the electrical connection.

2 minute job and a test drive confirmed the culprit.

Many many thanks to GeTT da NeTT,TTinCT, and Obi-Wan Schwing for all their help.

Now how do we fix that soft limp mode so we can go BMW huntin.

Default similar thing happened to me this summer

except it was a loose fitting N75 and a boost machine constructed and installed entirely incorrectly..

Default Sounds like the same problem I'm having....

However nothing has changed on my car since it was boosting fine at around 21-22psi, so I wonder if I could just have a bad N75? The last thing I had done to the car was the cluster replaced by the dealer, though I'm not sure how that would effect the boost. I've ordered a new DV even though I'm not really sure I hear it squealing. If that doesn't fix it, maybe I should try a new N75?
