Default Boxster

Neighbor just picked up a 04 Boxster S. I test drove it and was very surprised. For some reason it did not seem very fast. It handled very well and had good response in 3rd and 4th gear. I did not want to run it hard because it was brand new and not mine. Anybody else had a experience with driving one?

Default I had one for a while... TT felt quicker...

reason is because of the NA engine, you don't get that kick like you do with a turbo. The S was just smooth and fast... more powerful feeling then the TT. TT felt more nimble and quick- gokart-ish. S felt low, powerful and wide to me at least

Default I currently own a 2000 Boxster S.......

and it is an extremely well engineered sports car. The handling is superb (one of the best handling cars out there as confirmed by many of the car mags slalom tests) and it has incredible power to back it up. If you were looking for the best sports car I would choose the Porsche over the TT. I think the main difference is that the Boxster started as a new design where as the TT is based on an existing platform. This allowed Porsche to really dial in the design. Having said all that the TT coupe (I haven't driven the roadster)has a much more solid feel than the Boxster due to the extra weight it carries and the fact that it isn't an convertible. The best news is you couldn't go wrong with either one!
