From Automotive Engineering, August 2002:
Integral believes that by implementing cooled EGR on an existing turbocharged engine, up 10% improvement in high-speed fuel economy can be gained. However, by combining this with induction-air-temperature conditioning by using the vehicle air-conditioning system, the cycle fuel economy can also be improved by at least 2.5%, with improved power and torque. This improvement relies on the fact that the duty cycles of the charge cooling system and the cabin air-conditioning system are almost completely complementary.
