Default Brake dust cleaners

I know there are several threads on this, but I am wondering if brake shoes have really changed that much in recent years. It seems the spray on/rinse off cleaners used to work great when they first came out, but the ones I have tried lately seem to be about as effective as spraying air on the wheels - does nothing.

Default I use dilluted simple green>>>

then a nice soft brush and sponge with car washing soap...very easy on the finish....

Once thats done, wax the wheels, then they clean up easier....a lot of the quick stuff is rough on the finishes....but if you must use them, i would recommend, P21s....that is all.

simple green (original) or the simple green (citrus stuff) works very well for me.

Brake shoes may not have changed much, but, umm... your car doesn't have shoes. ;-)

Default Meguiar's Hot Rims...by far the best i've used.

seriously, just try it once. your local PepBoys/Autozone will have it. I've tried many different wheel cleaners from the pro detailing shops. For the price, this one can't be beat.

http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=G-95

If you wax your wheels, the brake dust comes off with any soap/water.
