Does anyone know of a way to cut down on the brake dust that seems to instantly accumulate on the wheels after cleaning?
I recall seeing something on the forum about dustless brake pads. Are there really such a thing? How effective are they at cutting down the dust?
Any input would be great.

It has helped to have my detailer wax the wheels.
This makes the brake dust seem to stick less.
Almost like a static charge is lessened.
Also easier to wash off.
The California Duster (dedicated to wheels) helps
between washes.
An good ol Windex is great for getting heavy dust
off without damaging the wheel (don't leave on).

Both Axxis (Metal Masters) and Mintex make a pad that is almost "dustless". Metal Masters have the reputation of being disc destroyers. This reputation is NOT totally warrented, but they will be slightly harder on the disc.
I currently have a set of them under test on my SLK. The dust problem has been almost eliminated. Brakeing is as good as ever, and better at high temps (competetion ie. autocross).
They should be worth a try.......
