Brake pad sensor question

Brake pad sensor question
I have been reading up on here about recommanded brake pads for my 2000 Quattro, but I am still a bit confused about the sensor issue.
Alot of people who get Mintex seem to disengage the sensor by splicing the wires. I read one way to solve this problem is to use the sensor from the original worn pads you are replacing, and do some wiring work. My question is, aren't there any pads out there that is fully compatible with our sensor connector at reasonable price?

I bought mine from AWE.
I have a 2000 FWD and mine had snesors.
Just call them and ask about the sensors.<ul><li><a href="http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shared/part_detail.cfm?PMaI=1&PMoI=5&PEI=2&PP =tt_18t_brakes.cfm&PPT=Brakes&IL=MintexPad s">awe-tuning</a></li></ul>

It's only a 2 wire splice...>
Not real difficult. There's probably not enough market to justify the Audi OEM connector part be offered. Take 5 minutes and cut and splice. No big deal.
