brake pads did not come with an adhesive back..doesnt it need one?...

to stick to the caliper?

Default They float...>>

Rarely are they adhesive backed, but some disk brake quiet will dampen the junction there and potentially reduce/eliminate squeaking. You can also use high temp silicone.

ok thanks, kinda looked like the one i removed had adhesive

The disc brake quiet is also sticky.
