Default Brake problem

This morning, my brake light flashed and beeped three times while driving, Manual says to check fluid. I checked fluid among other things and find nothing, any ideas???

Default Well, there is obviously a leak somewhere.......>>

Unfortunately it is rarely in the brake system, but could be in the clutch slave (fed by the same reservoir) which means $$ to repair. I'd pull the lower cover off and look for fluid dripping from the Engine/Trans joint (assuming there is no obvious leak at any of the brakes calipers...)

Default on my daughter's Mazda, the leak was hard to find... >>

leaving no visible trace, but the reservoir would slowly empty itself. As it turned out, one of the brake lines to a caliper was not tight enough. Every time she pressed the brake pedal, some brake fluid shot out -- not enough to completely undermine her braking, but enough to gradually empty the reservoir. So you might want to check the calipers closely, with somebody else pressing the pedal.
