Brock Yates on the movie *Driven*
* It's official: Driven is a DNF. This dramatic dud is stuck at about $30m in grosses and plunging rapidly, meaning that it is unlikely to recover its production cost, even after overseas distribution, video sales, cable airings, etc. are included. Sadly, its impact on the sport will be negative, with potential new enthusiasts leaving the theaters believing that racing is populated by ingrates and idiots who can't drive the length of a football field without crashing.

full story

When running 1998 One Lap, we stopped there...
We didn't really bother to eat or hang out there, as it was a quick stop during the racing events - but we did stay long enough to check the place out. It seemed cool, and worth a longer visit.
If you can, try to plan a stop out there in May during the One Lap (read: old cannonball run) to check out the race cars when they usually stop there every year.
Ciao!

Been there. That might make a nice drive. About 50 miles.
Capacity is about 20 or so, but there's an adjoining restaurant, the Gaslight Inn.
Not sure if quaint little Wyoming is ready for the JD BirthdayBash II crowd!

During the 1997 One Lap, it was a major stop and press event. Brock even bought lunch...
...for EVERYONE! He had to set up a tent outside for a barbeque, because the place isn't big enough to hold that many people. The village (?) of Wyoming closed the street for us to park on, and it was quite a traffic snarl for the three locals that tried to pass through town while we were there.
Jake - The place is in a TINY village, and there probably wouldn't be enough parallel parking to accomodate 25 TT's in the entire town without the police closing off the road.....
