Default BTW: the GVW is 3649 on the door, which would put you at about 3146 lbs?

4140-3649=491 (Your GVW - My GVW)
2655+491=3146. (My Curb + difference = Your Curb?)

Default That's about 255 lbs less than AudiWorld coupe specs. (2910).

They quote 225TTR at 3362 lbs. While there are known errors in AW specs, 2655 sounds awfully light. Helium in the tires, perhaps?

Default My info is from the April 1999 Audi TT Training Manual, and is the same in the Self-Study Program.

I wish I still had a set of scales.

Default Ed, the curb weight for a FronTrak is NOT 2655#'s . . .

Mance had his weighed and after gutting his car he was just over 2,600 #'s. A FronTrak is just under 3,000. Did you have a typo and it should have been 2,955? Did you actually get the car weighed?

Default Weighed ours at state highway scale = 2,910 with 3/4 tank...180Cfwd.

stated weight was achieved by subtracting passenger and computer case weight from gross weight on scale....sometime around May 2000....bone stock - ALL options.

Default How accurate was the scale?

Was it a 10# or a 50# or some other number they are within?

I weighed mine in CT last year and it was within a 10# range. When we weighed hte cars in VA it was also a 10# range.
