Bummer, engine light on...?
Have 2800 miles on the car. The engine light came on steady tonight. I have read pages of the past forum on this. If you have a service light with an explanation mark at start up, is that a problem triggering the light to come on? The dealer says bring it in for a couple hours of downloading and figuring out what is wrong. Wish my dealer was not so far away. My 180 to 225 OEM conversion exhaust would not do this would it? No problems ever yet since having it. How about oil changes. Is this car with a 3000 mark ready for a oil change? Dealer of course says no. If I have to take a day off work, must make it worthwhile. On the list also, cruise control does not work at all. Car seems to be running fine though. One good thing....

exhaust would not do it!
I would say that it could probably be just a misfire...if the light resets(turns off) after a few restarts, you're obviously fine, but as long as the CEL is not flashing it should not be too serious. Which dealer in OH do you goto? If you're not too far from the east side of cleveland, drop me an email and i can possibly get a dealer to help you out (so that you might not have to waste a whole day).

Thanks for feedback.
I bought the car at Byers in Columbus where I will take it. My daughter attends OSU so I have a babysitter for the day. I have started it a few times and will watch it. No luck on clearing yet. Wondering about your car in the pix here. Gorgeous. Please send me some details and more pix on it. My husband and I are thinking of building a kit Cobra. Very very nice. Thanks again.

if only it were mine!!
the picture is from the Woodward Dream Cruise. I believe that it is a superformance in the picture. It is painted with PPG chroma paint(i think that's what it's called....it changes color from the color you see in the picture, to a metallic green). The motor is a Ford Small block, twin turbocharged, with nitrous injection :-) The owner said it was either 600 or 800hp, I honestly don't remember which though. Either way, considring the fact that these cars are so light, that car must FLY!! If you're considering a cobra, another kit to consider might be the Ultima GTR or Can-am.
