Default The burdens of US citizenship.

As some of you may remember I became a US citizen (after living here for 20 plus years) on 9/11, a day I'll never forget for obvious reasons.

But now I feel like a REAL American: I got my first Jury Summons today!

Default Welcome to the club... Superior court in Oakland for me in a few weeks...

More than likely a murder trial... and of the three Superior court houses in the county, it has to be the furthest away...

Default I performed my jury service yesterday.

I thought for sure that I was going to be a juror for a criminal case but I got the boot from the defendant's attorney on cause.

I notice there's a "mental incapacity" exclusion: sounds right up my alley. :-)

Default I would quote the phrase "Mad dogs and englishmen"..but that wouldnt work for a Welshman

And in some parts of Wales would result in a good old kickin'

Marcus
