i recently lost a key ![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Ebay user 'Autokeystore" has over 1300 deals with 100% feedback...I was planning on buying a key from them to have cut & programmed... or is it better just to go straight from Audi's parts deparment?

and get it cut and programmed at the dealership...
might try to search the archives as I think many people have bought from eBay before. I got one for my A6 on eBay, but haven't gotten around to cut/program it yet

It cost me $160 to get the key programmed and cut, as well as the replacement part of the key that had the bad chip. So like $50-60 for the key off ebay, plus $160 from the dealer, the whole ordeal ran me over $200...but it's nice to have another spare main key.

if you have an immobilizer, only an Audi dealer can program your keys to work with your car. And you must bring ALL your keys at once.
