Silver/black 2000 TT, no tailfin. Has 44,000 miles (is that bad on a TT), but it's in excellent condition inside and out, never been in an accident. Has audio + premium package, and is audi pre-owned certified. I talked the guy down to 24,000, and went to edmunds.com and saw that bluebook value was around 28-29k.
So basically, am i out of mind for buying a car w/ 44000 miles on it?

Maybe reasonable for a Q, a tad steep for a FWD. (Mine's a Q, so I *may* be biased![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
There's only a few folks here with that kind of mileage, so it's still hard to know about long term reliability/cost of ownership stuff. The TT has it's share of 'first year of production' niggling glitches, but so far very few major(as in expen$ive) engine/drivetrain failures.
I would ask: suppose you get hit with a $2k repair bill the day after you drive out of the warranty? Grumble and take it in stride? Or is it a lifestyle altering affair?
If you can take the risk...it's one hell of a nice ride...esp. without the tailfin :-)

I have to assume we are talking about a 180 fwd coupe. The cars' shape has not changed except for the tailfin and many here including myself like the tailless look, although I like the additional safety of it. At 44,000 miles you are saving approx $12k over a new car. Same everything except yours is more broken in and it looks identical to a $40k+ car. I have a 2000 180 coupe with quattro with 15k miles on it. To me it still looks, smells and feels new. Yours may not be as new, but if money is an issue...and it almost always is, your deal sounds very tempting.

with 30000 miles on them.
If you are sure it's never been wrecked, then I'd jump on it, especially Audi Assured.
As a matter of fact I think it is such a good deal that you should test drive it again to make sure you can't hear or see something wrong.

Otherwise, walk away and wait for another silver/ebony with 25k miles for $25k. It'll happen soon.
Miata is not a TT....not near the fun/smile factor.
Just my $.02.

Hello,
For comparison:
I just bought an Audi Assured for $31K...2000 QC Black/Black w/bose/cd/xenon,etc with 5400 miles.
I thought I got pretty good deal...
