Ok, I will try to make this short. Installed temp sensor last night, supposedly did not seat well and unfortunately all the coolant ran out of the engine and steam going out all over, engine of course reading very, very hot on the gauge. Question is to all of you, If I drove the car in this condition for say maybe three miles, is my engine pretty much gone? Please help, I am just in a panic.

your engine. Next step maybe to remove and check the oil drain plug for metal bits.

Fix the temp sensor leak, fill with water/coolant, run to operating temp (at idle, wait for fan to come on) and keep your fingers crossed. If you aren't losing coolant and it's running ok, your engine survived.

did not have time to let the turbo cool down LOL! Shut the bugger off IMMEDIATELY! To the guy that said that headgasket may be blown, don't know about that, the car would really be misfiring if that were the case, and I did not feel that. I am going to the dealer now to get some coolant and maybe the right damn sensor. Gee, thanks Audi!

the coolant that I lost from last nights mishap? I have tried to get a hold of the G12 coolant, but nobody is open today to sell me some. Geez, like Audi really wants my money. I really cannont believe that I absolutely have to use G12 coolant. I have to get this car running today. Any thoughts on this?
