Can anyone tell me what these are for sure? They are behind the passenger seat.

I'm still looking to get 12v power for a device in the trunk. The silver frame is closer to the seat and holds a large black rectangular box. The black box across from it is on the trunk side. I just ordered the Bentley CD Manual so I can stop asking these stupid questions. The URL link shows a different angle on the box closer to the seat.

http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/26243/connector.jpg</a

Part of the reason no one knows for sure is...
that this shot is from a 2002 TT.
This model has more differences than the 00-01 models.
The 00-01 do not have these components is this space.
Not many people here have taken apart the 2002 to diagnose this.
If you get the Bently manual, make sure it covers the 2002 model, or you will still be asking this question.

Bentley Manual covers 2000 - 2002.
Since the 2003's will soon be out, you'd think (as sales have increased each year) that there would be more 2002's on the road than all other years combined. Maybe not. So, do you think 2002's need fewer mods?? ;-)
