Default No, mine is still in it's cave; when I did the Phatbox install this weekend, everything was...

great except for one thing: I forgot about the 6 CDs in the changer!!! I didn't think the plug to the changer was for power as well as data, or whatever it would be called. Not that big a deal to remove parcel shelf, plug changer back in, take out cds, put phatbox and shelf back, then re-boot phatbox. Just hoping their was an easier way!!

Default Easier way. Use this diagram, stick some pins or a small nail in the *correct* holes in the end...

of the changer cable. Apply +12V and Gnd, hit the 'Eject' button.
You might be able to get by with a fresh 9V.
Or try a power adapter that you have in house, one of the "black cube' deals, at least a 9V, 12V *DC* ! not AC!

This is a view looking at the end of the cable coming from the changer.

Default Thanks, Electro-Man!!! ;-) unfortunately...

the CD cable is taped down right next to where Phatty plugs into the harness anyway, so no saving on the sweat n'tears factor, there. Cool resourceful idea, though.

May I ask what you do for a living, Jeff?
