What about the "mounting" points of the arm?

There are rubber jack points/pads just behind the front wheel wells.

How much weight can the rubber jack points handle. I have not had good luck with them.

They do but they only cave so far and then stop and then life goes on just like it used to.

Default That's more of a lift pod not a floor jack spot. The floorjack location is the folded lip / sill

along the bottom edge of the car. This is specifically designed for the emergency (half) scissor jack though. Therefore to use a regular floorjack, a pod should be used. In my case, I use a hockey puck with a center slit.

Only Steve is qualified to lift on the rubber points with his lift

The rest of us do damage which can be minimized if two jacks are used at about equal times to raise the front, on level ground, with the tranny in gear, but handbrake released. Chock the wheels to be sure.

Why handbrake released? Because the floor jack will move the car around. If the remaining wheels are locked, the floorjack is the weakest link in the triangle.
