Default Yeah...we need to know ;-)

Needing a rear brake job soon and swappin out to larger rotors and 225 calipers and pads would be nice whilst having to do it anyway ..

TIA Marcus

Default This weekend while installing my new sway bar...

we did some comparisons on rear brakes for 180's and 225's. The rotor (disc) is substantially different as well as the caliper. The 225 disc is vented while the 180 is just a solid disc. I'm not sure if the caliper would work or not. It may be neccesary to get a set of 225 discs too.

I'm definately no expert on this, but those are my simple observations.

Default On a scale of 1-10 how hard was the rear sway bar install?

10 being the worst?

Default About a 3 - but I must clarify that Gokart3 helped me and he already did this to his TT....

If I was doing it alone, with no help, and my limited expertise on the TT - probably a 6 or maybe 7.

The difficult part is definately dealing with the exhaust. You have to remove and reattach the exhaust and I had never done that before. Not scary hard, but heavy and awkward to deal with when lieing on your back. Taking it off is not so difficult - putting it back on is a different story.

The new bar is awesome. Car feels like it tracks throug a corner much truer and gives the impression of being lighter in the rear.

Default Carefully.....>>

Loosened the shield and got up there. Not a lot of wrench swingin room so it took a little longer that way probably. Flipped the bar 180 degrees and snaked out the right side...

Gonna let my man Vinny, fit and prep/paint it...He's something of a fiberglass god...done much work with vettes and NSX's so he knows his stuff, and knows what I'll be expecting...Perfection and nothing less ;-)
