Greetings,
Anyone have any experience with the Pirelli P7000 Ultra-high performance all-season tires? I'm looking for an all-season high performance tire, to avoid having to swap tires every season (or wheels, which will add another $1k to the cost of this beast). Here's a link to tire-rack for these tires. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

I enjoyed them and I was planning on getting them for my TT as well to avoid the tire swap stuff.
However, several other folks here on the forum said 'performance would go to hell' I beleive were the exact words.
However, I live in Kansas and honestly I can't go screaming around like a maniac every day or i'll be put in jail. So I think the 7000s would be a good set for me.

Both my brother (on a 1998 BMW 540i Sport) and fiance (on a 1994 Mustang GT) have them. They have great treadwear ratings (so they last longer), they're reasonably grippy, and they're very affordable. Nice tread pattern, too.
I'll probably replace my Bridgestones with 'em when I'm due for a replacement.

The tirerack price is about the lowest you'll find unless it changed since I ordered a couple of months ago. I too ordered to avoid tire swapping.
The tires look sharp, and handle good for the average driver if you are not into real race car driving. The tread pattern looks aggressive and so far after 1400 miles they show no signs of wear, still look brand new. I once drove about 30mph through a foot of water and didn't lose a step (I am sure the quatrro helped too.) For the price, I would recommend them so far.
Negatives...
I got them to squeal a little when cornering at extreme speeds, like a sharp turn at 45mph and accelerating. I have noticed they ride a little rough in my application, but I upgraded to 18" rims so that may be the culprit.<p>2000 180CQ D.Blue/Ebony - MII mod

I have the p7000 a/s on my 99 mustang gt conv. Overall they are good tires, but I personally don't enjoy the squeeling around corners. And to get the most out of them you really have to baby the tire pressure. If I had to do it over I would have bought the winter set to complement my summer tires!
Understand that you are buying a tire that will never perform as well as a summer tire or winter tire during that season. Grin and bare it, and buy a set of good winter tires. You'll get the most performance out of your car in each season!
