Can a tire valve core become loose?
On the weekend I had a flat tire. According to the mechanic that fixed the tire, the valve core was loose, he just tightened it. Is it even possible for a valve core to become loose on its own? Can it be loosened without taking the tire off the rim, could it have been loosened by someone on purpose?
The mechanic thought it was installed incorrectly, but I have been driving on these tires since December with no problems. I check my tire pressure every 1-2 weeks and have not noticed a slow leak.
On a related note, does everyone's jack have a plastic component? My jack broke. A whole other tale of woe here... ;-(
