Default Can't open hatch/gas cap - Please help fast-

Hi everyone,
Hoping someone could throw me a bone here. The buttons on the center console with the hatch don't seem to be working for the hatch and gas cap. (the remote has never worked to open the hatch) The center button for the "interior motion sensor" does light up when I push it. I checked all the fuses and everything seems ok.. Is there something I can do or is this a warranty issue only? I read in my manual on how to open them manually but it looks like a real pain. Thanks in advance.

Go lock, then unlock your door with the key (not the remote). That will fix it.

Default Also, there is a flap on the passenger side of the cargo comp., under the hatch. That is where the

gas cap cable is. I believe it is marked, but I forget.

Default !!!!!!!!!!!THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much.. The lock/unlock method worked!
I'm insanely short on time these days, so I am truly grateful for you saving me a trip down to the dealership.

Default Yep, it is.

I tried it once just to make sure. I thought it was a good idea after reading some threads about guys getting stuck on the road and not being able to get the flap to open, to try that and the hatch release (under the cup holder) as well. I figure with my luck the day I get a flat will be the same day the hatch release breaks...
