Default Car going in for Timing belt & Haldex oil change tomorrow @ Baillargeon Audi.

I've made it to 70,000 miles.

Having them do the belt, tensioner, water pump, thermostat (ECS kit). Should I have them flush the coolant system or anything while I'm at it?

Anything else I should do while it's in? :^)

Might end up doing the oil change depending on how long they think they'll have it.

Default Mine is getting the same treatment at Boardwalk in Plano...

Are you providing any parts for them, or just going OEM?

Default Isn't that Mr Baillargeon's? :^)

They're a bit more of a drive for me, but they do seem to have the best service in the area.

I went with the ECS kit. I've actually had it for a while, just haven't had the time to do it.

Default What...

... are they going to charge you for labor? Boardwalk quoted me $1000+ for the timing belt job and $300 for the 60k service.

Default Not sure, I asked a while back, but forgot to ask again when I went in today.

The $300 sounds about right for the 60k. The Haldex service was around $200-250 as I recall.

Default Update: Labor for Timing belt is ~$650. Haldex is a flat $79.95 (a special I guess).

I decided to have them do the oil change with Mobil 1 too, and it is $69.95.

You supplied all materials? I may look into that... could save couple hundred. Thanks...
