Default Car Magazine compares S2000 and TT and prefers the TT.....

because of it's traction, low end and midrange power and all around great styling including comfort. They think the S2000 has an awesome motor and is fast, if you rev it above 7000 rpms, but seemed to feel it was not the best package compared with the TT and that the difference in speed and other details were not compelling enough. That said they will be include the TT in their long term test stable.

Default Lots of reviewers complain about the TT's lack of low end grunt and turbo lag...

But IMHO it's nothing compared to the need to beat the snot out of the S2K. Since the speed you need to get the engine to for the alternate cam profile to kick in is above the redline for the 1.8T engine, I'm sure you can appreciate just how "whiny" the engine gets to kick out that kind of power. Anything below that and you feel like you're driving an ordinary Honda, like a Prelude.

No slam against S2Ks, but given the choice I'll take turbo lag any day...
