Default CAR MODDING....COMMENTS PLZ...

i am planning to do some mods here for my 01 tt 225 quarttro......

and i've visited some websites..
and now there 2 brands of muffler that come into my mind...oettinger and sebring...
and which one would u recommand?

and several things comes to my mind for performance mods now

muffler, chips, and intake

but ppl that i asked said that they wouldnt recommand me to have the intake by far since i dont have any mods yet..

and how about chips? which one would u recommand?
and should i add chips first? or should i add exhaust+ intake first b4 chips,, cuz after those two items, then adding a chip will provide better results? @__@

i am a newbie about cars..but i love car
and sorry if my enlish is bad,,cuz i am a taiwanese..but i will try to improve..THNX

Start with a good chip. GIAC and APR are both very respectable tuners. You wont be going wrong with either of them...go with whoever is closest to where you live. As for an exhaust forget oettinger or sebring....stick with Milltek, Forge, or APR....all good units. As for an intake...I would go with a Schwing TTDA, just do a search for TTDA and you will find info. Good luck!

Default Forget the intake.... it's a waste overall...

Chipwise... I'd say Dahlback or GIAC. Exhaust wise, for the money, Neuspeed by far (2.75" pipe).

Some chips have different Stages depending on other mods (like Dahlback and I believe OCT).

Default follow this link to EisenHaus

Get an Eisenmann Exhaust system (sounds amazing)
And get a GruppeM carbon Fiber intake. adds ram air effect and looks bad ***.

EisenHaus

Default Forget the intake? More cooler air a waste? NOT!

Definitly do an intake if you chip and pipe...Mine works great with a nice increase in upper rev's.

Default Intakes are somewhat of a waste on the car... oftentimes.. they even dyno lower...

Just be careful. The but dyno and feel is one thing. Real power is another. And I don't care where the feeds come from. Most large HP cars run open filters. You really want the shortest possible route for the air to travel.... if I could stick the filter on the cold side of the turbo.. I would.

Default Intake not worth it? So why does the stock turbo pipe collapse with the stock intake..

but not with an aftermarket intake? As Mr. Schwing would say "its like sucking through a straw". TTDA is a VAST inprovement over stock.
