Default Car rides better! Rear Sway bar off...>>>

Took the car to my shop friday night after having some handling problems with it being loose and floaty. Jacked the car up and took of the rear 28mm bar and bingo, the car drives better. Tracks better, quicker steering, smoother, just altogether a vast improvement. The bar worked great on my 17" setup, but definately not on my 18" setup. The wider tires and wheels just could not handle the rear bar, and I do not want to put a front bar on to balance it out. I am going to go with KW 3's and sell off my Konis soon. The bar is up for grabs now. Any takers?

Default That makes NO sense. Are your 18's actually "wider"? >

and by how much? Are you saying 'clearance' is some of the issue - isn't that an offset problem?

Default All that I know is that...>>>

The bigger rear bar and wider wheels and tires (18x8.5 w/235/40/18)did not work well together. Now it may work with a bigger front bar to balance things out, but I just could not handle the way it was drivin'. The car is glued TO the road now, and has a sporty feel, unlike the luxury car type ride before. Just odd how I notice such fine details on handling, and how **** I can get about it.
