Car takes 3 tries to start. Every time

2002 1.8l audi tt , Recently started having a problem when turning on the car, Every time, (or just about) it will rollover, and on the 3rd try, it starts up perfectly fine. Any idea on what's broken or messing up? Thanks to all !

I've had those symptoms just before the fuel pump died on me, not wishing that on you, just reporting my experience with those symptoms.
