Maybe not "Structural" but it is a stiffener. Cut out the whole panel & you'll lose rigidity.

Default mabee slightly, but......>>>>>>

here is what i have noticed since i removed it.

1. the windows and doors are still alighned.
2.the rear hatch still works as advertised.
3.the windsheild has not cracked
4.my frame is not tweaked.
5.I do not notice any difference in stiffness when I corner.
6.there are no cracks anywheres.
7.the roof was "glued" on to begin with from the factory, and not welded.

It could add a little to the structure, but not enough to say so.

Default Looking at your break down

I was wondering if you had any more of the rear? I've been wondering what support the rear hump has where the spare tire used to be. Probably never do it but I always wondered if I could just cut it out and save some weight.

I am guessing that compound shape adds strength that would be missed with a flat panel.

Do you have any better pictures? Where did you get the glass to replace the top?

Default Be more specific, coupe/roadster, and ....

do mean the rear roof "hump" because you mentioned the wheel well? the support for the rear part of the roof is vitaly important and should not be removed. plus there would not be much of a weight loss.
