CD changer problems

CD changer problems
Has anyone had a problem with their CD changer recognizing CD's? I put six in, and often times the changer doesn't recognize one or two of them. The funny thing is that it can recognize all six one time, and the next time I start the car it may miss one or two. I haven't done anything to the changer in the interim which could cause this. I get the "ERR 3" message, and occasionally I can't move it off the error CD slot. Is my changer on the fritz? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
