Default CD player problems

Has anyone else had problems with the CD changer? Mine skips a lot, i've had the changer fixed/replaced by the dealer once and it's still bad.

Default Please forgive my mentioning the obvious, but dirty cd's can cause the skipping...

since there is no easy way to change CD's without getting fingerprints on them.

I found that most of my CD's in my changer had fingerprints with hand lotion on them as this is the last thing I do when I leave for work in the morning. Just before I change CD's in the changer.

Otherwise, I have had skipping problems that are ephemeral in nature. For example, I got my car back from the repairs the other day and had taken my changer out when I left it. I put it back in and it skipped / dropped out on every cd. I just popped the cartridge out and popped it back in and no more skipping.

Default Re: CD player problems

I've had no problems but the CD comes out very very warm in the new 2002 indash unit. Anyone else experience this?
