CDA breather port mod complete.
I removed the output flange and drilled a 3/4 inch hole. I glued in a 3/4 X 3 inch brass tube w/ High temp RTV. I found a hose that fit over the brass tube (and used a hose clamp there). The hose was two small and would not seal @ the breather hose end. I did not cut the hard plastic 90 degree fitting off. I slipped an O-ring over the new hose, put the new hose inside the OE plastic fitting, then sealed with the O-ring using a small flat blade screw driver to force the O-ring into the gap. I then taped it with electrical tape so I would not slip out... Works great.
My last post listed several reasons for this mod. One I should add is Reduce NOISE! When I started the car yesterday AM (before he mod), the engine ran fine, just sounded very loud. My wife even asked "what's wrong?"... I placed my hand around the small external breather filter and could hear the noise drastically reduced. With the breather hose ported into the CDA box, it sounds "normal" again.
A test drive last night with the top down proved the overall CDA sound was less noticable. STill happy with performance too.
