Changing out front license plate cover

to release the lower tabs Using a flat blade, paint scraper etc. The rest of the tabs will snap out once started..

After you get the cover out, I recommend putting sylglide (silicon lube) on the tabs to facilitate switching the cover.
I have a plain cover with no plate on my TT. I also keep a cover with license plate bracket and plate in the hatchback.
For the county that I live in and the county I work in license plates on front are ignored by police. For when I go to other places, I snap out the plain front and install the cover with plate. The sylglide makes switching covers very easy. Lubrication vs. friction--standard physics stuff.
