Default Chanting oil

I went to change the oil of my 2001 TT Quattro (never done on my own to this vehicle) and after looking under the front end, I could not see where the oil drain plug was.
Is it under the plastic belly pan or did I just miss it?
If it is under the belly pan, Do you just remove the pan to gain access?

Thank you

Default You need to remove the plastic cover

to also gain access to the oil filter.

Default I've never changed mine myself, but I'm pretty sur eyou need to remove than plastic cover.

You also need to be prepared to get very dirty. Everything I have read about changing the oil indicates that it is very difficult to get the filter out without making a huge mess.

Default I forgot to mention that you should not "chant" while changing oil

you may get distracted and burn yourself or something

Default yup indeed! remember to buy a new filter first =) hehe, i often forget

filter is on the front-side of the block, near the oil pan.

there is a drain plug located on the exhaust-side of the block, coming out of the oil pan, slightly to the passenger-side. 17mm wrench if i recall correctly.

anyway, sounds like u proly have a good idea what yer doing if yer doing oil changes yourself on a warrantied car =) just trying to be helpful. gluck!
