Default Charge Pipe polished and installed ...............>>

I stripped the coating using a brass-wire wheel on a bench grinder. This step took less than 2 hours (included use of a dremel for the detail work).

Using a buffing wheel I spent another 2 hours to polish.

Very pleased with the outcome. I expected this to take a lot more time. Prior experience polishing the intake manifold definitely helped.

Default wow.... very nicely done. love that look

any chance of it oxodizing, or hotter air temps due to the coating gone?

have you noticed any problems with you manifold being done?

Default Very nice!

Are you running the engine cover? You know you can remove the oil-filler extension if you aren't; you may need to source another cap from VW to maintain the side-to-side alignment if the one you have changes orientation; I seem to reacall the insert used on the extension reqiures a cap with different seating tounges.

Default Thanks. Should be no issues. My Intake manifold polish has caused no issues either.........

I polished the IM when I had it off for installation of a Phenolic Spacer. I recorded a decrease in temperature at each intake runner of approx. 20-degrees.
