Default Could be a number of things & the only sure way to know is get someone with a Vag Com...

to check DTC's( diagnostic trouble codes). A guess is that your MAF(Mass airflow sensor) is in need of cleaning or replacing.Audi has warranteed this part to 70K.Do a search on MAF.

Default possibly a dirty MAF, if the car has been running for awhile with no probs.

you can take the MAF out and squirt it with CRC electronics cleaner you can get from your favorite auto parts store (i.e. Pep Boys has them). I immersed mine with it...drenched it to make sure. Then used a heat gun to dry it off completely after shaking off all the excess...put it back in, cleared the DTC codes and voila! no more CEL.

Default It must be the 58K thing cuz I just hit that too and popped a CEL ...

Performance has never been better though. I was kind of worried that it might be cause I took out the screen and mesh from the MAF intake housing... (that's what the dealer claimed killed my last MAF but they replaced it under warranty anyway which was during my 50K service)
