Default No argument...chipped S4 will take the flag...now a chipped TT against OEM S4...

different story. I runn against both (know the S4 drivers) and consistent wins as noted in both scenarios..

Default not so fast, guys....it all depends on the race!

In a straight line, sure, the chipped S4 will eat a chipped TT for lunch. But in a road course situation (and assuming the chip is the only mod, and the drivers are of equal skill), the TT would probably stand a better chance of winning. Chipped S4s make a ton of torque, but they're a handful on the track w/o other mods (i.e brakes & suspension work). Even with those mods, they still don't make very good track cars...just too damn heavy.

Default I think Todd from AWE would argue about that!

His chipped Avant was running one minute laps of the north course at Pocono. He was running neck and neck with a track prepared 911 turbo.

Of course Todd is an amazing driver...

Default I don't think he would...

...if he's a great driver, he'd be quicker in a similarly prepared TT.

Default Hmmm

I remember this September on the Bonneville Salt Flats two stock S4s (one with exhaust) that trounced a TT 225 with larger intercooler, exhuast, and chip.

10+ mph difference at the 1 mile mark is hard to not notice.

Default S4 3593 lbs vs. TT 3472 lbs. The weight difference doesn't have THAT great of an impact.

...and come to think of it, there are TONS of S4 variants racing on Speedvision (whereas there are relatively few TTs).

Just my $.02
