Default Re: The 180 chipped is faster in every way than the stock 225.

Road and Track rated the:

180TT:
0-60 = 7.4 seconds
1/4mile = 15.9 seconds

225TT (Roadster):
0-60 = 6.6 seconds
1/4mile = 14.8 seconds

So a 180TT with JUST A CHIP (no exhaust or anything) can run high 14's?

Anyone take their chipped 180TT or stock 225TT to the drag strip?

Default Rofl...yeah but how about 190mph on a GSXr 1000 with NOS???

yeah the TT needs to be alittle more anchored to keep it planted at high speeds. lol very funny about that rapin mother nature bit...I would attempt a 280 run in my TT once its all done...but only on a straight peice of road with no cross wind and only with the proper aero kit and suspension...wouldnt mind a Halon system in it for the ride either

Default Drag strip aside...if you go to the street races...go easy on your car

cause the clutch and tranny just cant take alot high rpm dumps without braking apart...gets worse when you add hi-perf rubber and more power...dont believe what you read in the mags they are ussually wrong...a 225TT coupe depending upon launch rpm will run anywhere from 5.9 to 7 seconds 0-60

Default Personally I'd want an ACES II seat also.

Default Waddaya think sunroofs are for in those kind of cars?

One of the best things about jet fighters is when everything turns to poop you can ride the seat.
Now that's one kick in the butt!

Yea, once.

My Stock 225 ran 14.9. I haven't gone back since I got the chip and exhaust.

Default This is really quite simple . . .

I have driven well over 40 different TT's, most likely more than anyone else. Dozens of others have driven my car. EVERY 225 owner that has driven my car have ALL said it is faster than their cars. It is not just me saying this.

I should have included a chip + exhaust is faster than a stock 225. My car with stereo, harness bar and 2 sets of 6 pt belts and the stock brakes and ONLY my chip does 0-60 in 6.54 seconds. Remove the weight and add the exhaust and I am down to the 6.2 range. A stoc 225 does not come close.

As for top end, the 225 is speed limited, where my car is not.

There is no argument, has anyone else driven a stock 225 and a chipped/exhaust 180? After you have and have done it back to back, then you can answer this. I have and so have quite a few others.
