Default Cigarette Lighter Help

I have a 2001 TT Roadster and I'm having trouble plugging in my cellphone charger. The hole is too shallow and the plug keeps popping out. I called RadioShack and they said they used to carry an adaptor but they don't anymore. Any other ideas?

Hah! No. Go to Jeff Bipes' site--he has a how-to I think.

Default I had to install it in a different location after gauge pak.

After gauge pak install I put the plug on the side of the passenger kick panel. It was easy to install and I think that you could have both the OEM site and a new site by spicing the wires.

Good Luck

That's funny, I did the exact same thing but on the other side. I hated having the ashtray open all the time to charge the phone. I keep my bridge toll money in the ashtray and like to keep it closed.

Default Steve, is there a website that sells that cig lighter with the snap-in cover?

My Passat wagon has that in the rear, so I suspect a discount VW supplier might supply those.

Thx
