Clay bar?

Hi guys,
I own a 2001 TT, and recently I found there's some dust, or road salt on the painted area of the rear wheels...(sorry dont know the painted area called). I tried mother clay bar...wont work ...i tried something called "compound" wont work either.... Can anyone help me plz..

No, seriously. When we were on vacation in New Zealand, we passed a construction site with a sign saying something to the effect of "LIME SPRAYING, WASH YOUR CAR TODAY". I couldn't believe it! I think I would have turned around if I was in my TT. That poor little Misu Lancer... ![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Sorry I have no advice about your paint, if clay and compound don't help, there's probably nothing you can do. Is it very noticeable when you're standing a couple feet away?
