I just did claybar on my son's black magic Passat and there were streaks left. I used alot of the spray lubricant that came with the claybar, but still the streaks. It took alot of washing and scrubbing to remove the streaks.
What was I doing wrong?
Also, what do you use for lubricant when claybarring?
Thanks, John

I love cars that only make left turns.

typed that). Others use the one made for the product. Use a lot of it and don't use too much clay bar. I've found some clay bars are just gummier than others. Also, do one small area at a time and get off any residue...don't do a huge area at a time so that it dries up.

stick/streak when used on warm/hot paint no matter HOW much lubricant you use. (Specifically I have found this to be true with both Mequires and the 3M product). I have had very good success with the Zaino clay bar and is what I use exclusively now.
Good luck,
