Push the button on the left and turn left to select, right to adjust.

I went for a drive last night and noticed the time and date had changed. Has this hapened to anyone else ?

Default See my message above - Windshield and Clock

See my message above regarding the cracked windshield and skipping clock - it changed overnight.

the clock has changed on its own twice now. there is evidently some short in the wiring.

also, what's up with the one-touch up/down window control? that too has a mind of its own and is effecting my entire window seal mechansim (can there be something stuck down there?)

Had the same problem happen once. Date set back to 1998! The trip odometer also reset to zero. Hasn't happened again yet. If more people are having this then it must not be a short in the wiring. That's too coincidental. Could be a reset button problem. A touchy switch?

Sounds like either the fuse is not in tight or the wiring harness is loose.

For example, if you remove & replace fuse #15 you will notice your clock reset to 7/1/1998 and the trip odo reset to zero. Also, the volatile items in the Driver Information Display will reset.

Default Re: Time and date changed by itself ? How to fix

Just last week there was a thread about this, sometimes the radio/CD display also does funny things. On my car I found instrument cluster fuses #11 and #15 kind of loose, reseated them and that resets all of the displays except the odometer. Since resetting clock and trip computer, everything else has stayed put. This is possibly a temporary fix, but until I hear otherwise I don't want to put the car in the shop just for that.

Clock went forward 3 hours and date went back to July 1, 1998. Set to correct date and time through instructions in owners manual. Told service manager at Audi Exchange in HP, IL. He raised an eyebrow. It happened on 9.9.1999. Maybe just a coincidence. Nothing has happened since.
