Default Clunk from drivetrain at speed

I'm driving home from work, getting ready to go on vacation in the afternoon.
Driving behind another car I pull out to pass. as I press the accelerator there is a clunk from under the car, loss of power to the wheels. Motor still running.
There is limited drive going to the wheels
I have to keep down shifting to keep the car moving.
ESP light goes on and then engine light.
Heldex ?? what went wrong.

Default Running but not drivable

The engine will start and run but very little power going to wheels.
I't's like I'm pulling a trailer.

Default It will go into gear and I can get it to move. could be the clutch.

with the engine light and ESP lights on I don't want to try to drive it around.

Default Walk around your car and look at the brakes carefully...

Does it roll easily? If so not that.

Sounds like clutch related but the warning lights are perplexing..

Default After the incedent, I pulled over and shut the car off>>>

when I restarted the car I was able to drive the car home (about 2 miles)
I turned Revo off thinking I went into limp mode. But no real change in the way the car was acting.
The first thing I noticed after the clunk (bad word) was the lights
ESP and Traction Control.
Pressing the accelerator and the car slowing down.

Default I just went out and looked at the brakes and strarted the car.

It starts right up, and goes into gear. I moved the car forward under it's own power. Rolls easily.
Engine light and Traction Control lights stay on.
