This morning when I started my car, my cluster was dead. None of the needles moved. Well, I had to go to work, so I left anyway. After about 5 minutes, I noticed that it was working again. It was fine when I drove home too. Anyone have this happen before?
I have an appointment at the dealer next week already, so I am adding this to the list. Of course, they'll have to order parts and it won't get fixed for two more weeks.

The fuse thing did not work. Cluster lights would flicker, then the tach would drop to O RPM. This only happened when the engine was cold and at idle.
Now everything is fine again.

I had the same problem, especially on chilly mornings. Gauges would spring back to life if I gave the top of the dashboard a smack. The dealer said that it is a known problem, and is replacing the cluster today (it took a few weeks to get the part).
BTW, I would like to let everyone know that I have had a spectacularly wonderful experience with my dealer, Mohegan Lake Motors, in Mohegan Lake, NY (on US-6 in upper Westchester county). The purchase experience was excellent [and I'm no slouch at haggling], and the service department has done an incredible job with our TT and Allroad.

..reinstalled fuse numbers 11 and 15 and everything was right again. I have now gone over a year and a half with no further problems.
