Clutch creaking problems? (sort of long)

Hi all,
I have had this interesting clutch problem
start recently.
After long driving (20-30 minutes or so),
my clutch pedal starts this creaking noise.
And the movement is no longer smooth, but jagged.
I guess it can be described as somewhat bumpy
going up and down.
After parking and returning to the car in a few
hours, this behavior is gone. But it starts
again after driving for a while. Maybe
something warming up?
Needless to say I did not make an appointment
with the dealer yet since I would
receive the "could not duplicate" after a
6 hour wait, so this morning I took
it there after running a few errands,
after driving about 30 mins.
When I got there the problem had already appeared,
but by the time the tech came to my car
(about 15 mins.), it was not as bad.
Of course, he told me that "there is nothing
wrong". How could there be![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Anyhow, has anyone had similar experiences?
On a related note, does anyone have excessive
vibration of the shifter in second gear,
especially at high RPM's?
I don't want every post of mine to
be a complaint about the car or the dealership,
so I will post a few sightings separately![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I have a similar problem where the clutch travel has a slight but annoying catch in it, about midway in its travel. The problem has been there since day 1, and after 20k miles hasn't gotten any better. I've always assumed it was the return spring catching on something...
Each time I go in for scheduled maintenance I bring this issue up, and until my last visit the tech's answer was always "I don't feel anything".
Well, the last time I went in, they finally agreed there was something wrong. I suggested they look at the return spring, and when I got the car back (3 days later, grrrr) they informed me that they replaced the entire clutch to eliminate the noise! Which of course it didn't!! The catch is still there, and now my clutch is making another noise that wasn't there before (sounds like the pullout bearing is louder than normal when the clutch is out).
I've given up trying to diagnose the problem. I'm afraid next time they'll decide to replace the transmission and screw something up in the process...

Sounds like the clutch pedal starts to creak after the engine gets nice and toasty, and perhaps the brake fluid.
I don't know exactly what brake fluid has to do with the clutch but I think the two share fluid. I learned that here so I may be remembrancing wrong.

Mine is bone stock.
Approaching 10k already. Wow!
I'll keep the brake fluid in mind. Yes, the
clutch creaks after the engine gets nice and toasty.
The problem is, how do I explain this
to the service department?

Thanks for the info Ivan, I will
mention the brake fluid when I take it in
for the 10K
The question about how to explain to
the service guy was a rhetorical one![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I was just pointing out that they
will treat this as "within specs" as they
treat every other problem on the TT's![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Anyhow, I'll post an update here.
