Default clutch issue

I've recently notice while disengaging my clutch (pushing the pedal in) there is no resistance until half way down. Also, when I release the clutch pedal quickly, the pedal dose not retract smoothly... it seems to have a quick stall half way back. I've also noticed that I have to push the clutch firmly all the way down to the floor before I can put it into gear. Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas on how to fix it? TIA.

Bad news. These are classic symptoms of slave cylinder failure. The slave cylinder is integral to the throw out bearing on TT 225s/ It requires removal of the transmission for replacement. You should have the slave cylinder bleed and the fluid level (same reservoir as the brake fluid.) topped off first but this does not usually correct the problem for long if at all. While replacing the slave cylinder you may as well replace the clutch disc and pressure plate. It all comes as a kit for approx $400, and the labor to get there will be more than that. You don't want to go back to do the clutch later. Sorry. BTDT .
